Prob b. Pickaway Co. He came to the Big Grove area of Vermilion Co (later Champaign Co) in 1828 when he was about 10 years old. He farmed in Southern WI ca 1848-57. His personal property was valued at $265. Six children were born there. Three of them died there and are buried in the Kelley-Franklin Cemetery in Monroe. In 1880 the census shows him in the home of William and Malinda Snider in Kerr Twp, Champaign Co. He is listed as a servant. He attended the Champaign Co Old Settlers Reunion 28 Jun 1883.
