Mrs. Mary Jane Winslow, a resident of this city for 73 years, died at her home on Pine Street at 4:30 this morning in the 89th year of her age. She had been in poor health for the past two years, and her death was due to the infirmities due to her long life..

The deceased was born in Oliveburg, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Hickox, May 23, 1842, and lived there until her marriage to Oscar Winslow, of this city, at the age of 16. He died about 37 years ago..

Mrs. Winslow was a member of the First M.E. Church of Punxsutawney from childhood and was probably the oldest living member of that organization. During the 73 years of her residence in this city she had led an active, Christian life. Kindly, tolerant, charitable, maintaining excellent health until two years ago. Uncomplaining in her illness, a good mother, wife and neighbor, her death is sincerely mourned..

She is survived by two sons: R. H. Winslow, of this city, and F. O. Winslow, of Chicago. Until her death there were five generations of the Winslow family, there being 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren left to mourn her death..

He died in AZ (Mericopa County) in 1965, I believe. Robert Hicks, my grandfather, was born 1911 in Piggott, AR. His mother was Ada Barnwell and she died young (twenties). Robert Hicks died in 1985 in Memphis, TN of Alzheimer's (Pneumonia). Robert Hicks married Georgia Louise Greer 8 Dec 1934. They had three children. Beuran Douglas (b. 4 Aug 1935 in Unionville, TN, d. 2005 in Memphis, TN), Reathea Louise (b. 15 May 1938 in Unionville, TN, currently resides in Colorado), Louis Edward (b. 5 June 1946 in Dyersburg, TN, currently resides in Alabama). Beuran married Toy Ann Taylor. They had two children, Judy Ann (Widdison) and David Paul. Reathea married James Donald Caughtry. They had one child, Kathy (Weiss). She then married Kermit Benner. They had two children, Kristen Marie (b. 19 Jan 1973) and Mark Allen (b. Oct 1976). Ed Hicks married Dixie Marie (Crawford) 21 Dec 1968. They have two children, Ehren Michael (b. 18 Feb 1972 Orange CA) and Stephen Edward (b. 15 Feb 1974 Fullerton CA). I am Stephen, Steve. I have two children with Maria (Baggett b. 16 Dec 1976), married 10 Aug 1996. Hannah Elizabeth (b. 18 July 1997 in Demopolis AL), Bryce Edward (b. 27 Dec 2000 in Montgomery AL). Bryce is the youngest Hicks, to our knowledge. On another note, do you know any Barnwells that currently are or ever have been Northwest Airline Pilots?
